The Super Falcons have received congratulations from FIFA, the world football governing body, after qualifying for their eighth straight women’s World Cup.
In Casablanca on Thursday, July 14, the Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 in the quarterfinal.
During the match, Atletico Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade scored the only goal after heading in Ifeoma Onumonu’s cross.
Nigeria will now face hosts Morocco in the semi-final on Monday, July 18.
