After the incident, Reeve became an activities for people living with disabilities around the world until his death in October 2004. He died of heart failure.
While he was alive, he founded the Christopher and Dana Reeve foundation in 1998 which still carries his legacy until date.
These were the reasons Google decided to honour the iconic actor and activist for his great work while he was alive.
“Today’s #GoogleDoodle celebrates the birthday of American actor and humanitarian Christopher Reeve,” Google wrote on their official Twitter page.
“On camera, Reeve was the Man of Steel. Off camera, he was a devoted advocate of people with disabilities and other social causes.”
