” He’s not yet a world-class player”- Dortmund legend says about Haaland

The former Dortmund player believe the two have great potentials but one is complete than the other.

Borussia Dortmund Legend Jurgen Kohler considers Erling Haaland as “not yet a world-class player” and feels Kylian Mbappe boast greater potential.

According to him, the Norwegian still has work to do to hit that status of a world-class player.

“He’s not yet a world-class player. He’s a top striker and has all the skills to do so, but he still has to prove that.” Kohler told Ruhr Nachrichten.

“He’s missing that certain extra class out of nowhere. At 21 he has already come so far. That is extraordinary. I am sure that he will always find tools so that he cannot be stopped. With experience comes world class.”

Haaland and Mbappe have been tipped as the next superstars of world football as they follow in the footsteps of legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappe, however has a more enviable profile than Haaland, having already won four Ligue 1 titles and the World Cup.

The PSG forward has scored 132 goals in just 171 appearances for the club, with 42 of those coming last season.

Haaland didn’t do bad either, as he found the back of the net 41 times for Dortmund last season.

Just like everyone else, Kohler is impressed by the two of them, but thinks one still has a lot to do.

Kohler, who won two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League, is a big fan of the Norwegian but thinks he still has work to do.

“Kylian Mbappe has the greatest potential. I see him more as a world-class footballer, because he doesn’t just rely on speed. What does he do? Short hooks, short ball control – Mbappe doesn’t do anything rash.” The 1990 World Cup winner added.
