I don’t want to die – TG Omori begs Nigerians for prayers after a failed kidney transplant.

Nigerian award-winning cinematographer Thank God Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has disclosed that he had a failed kidney transplant after his brother donated one of his kidneys to him to improve his kidney-related ailment.

Omori revealed this via his official X page on Wednesday, seeking prayers from Nigerians and well-wishers.

“One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St Nicolas Hospital Lagos. Pray for me,” he wrote in a tweet.

In a series of tweets that followed, Omori revealed that his only brother donated his kidney to him, so he can live again.

“Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.

“Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die,” he wrote.

He also shared a picture of him crying in the hospital and receiving oxygen through an oxygen mask.

Meanwhile, Omori has been posting cryptic tweets about his health before the recent transplant.

According to the Punch, the award-winning music producer wrote on his X handle, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me.”

“Poor marijuana, they blame you for all my rasclaat.”

You wanna eat, I wanna live.”

These recent tweets have raised concerns among netizens, with many sending him words of encouragement and prayers for a quick recovery.

When they tell you to stop smoking, you guys won’t listen. Thank God for giving you a second chance,” one user wrote.

Another user wrote, “Ohh really, hadn’t been you tell me I would have gladly give you one of mine so you can live.”

“Stay strong, wishing you a speedy recovery. Nothing go do you in Jesus name,” another well-wisher wrote.

TG Omori is a well-known name among music lovers and the music industry at large.

Also known as “the Boy Director”, he has directed videos for a diverse range of Nigerian artistes such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Olamide, and many others.
