Sonia Ighalo, wife of Nigerian International footballer, Odion Ighalo has rubbished rumours that their Lekki home was set ablaze.

Manchester united defeated Paris Saint Germain in the first group stage match of the champions league. After the match, Odion Ighalo took to his social media page to condemn the Lekki shootings on Tuesday.

Shortly after condemning the killings, news surfaced online that the footballer’s house at Lekki was invaded by political thugs and it’s about to be set ablaze.

However, his wife, Sonia has described the information as fake and people should disregard such claims.

“I got a lot of calls, msgs ysday…

“Y’all should stop spreading fake news pls. This is not the right time. May God see us through in this troubling time.” She wrote on her Instagram story.
