Ooni of Ife imposes curfew in Osun town over incessant criminal activities.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has imposed curfew in Osun town as a result of the numerous criminal activities.

Reports from Premium Times say that armed amongst other criminal activities is slowly becoming the order of the day in the town.

As result of these incessant criminal activities, the Ooni took strong action by ordering a restriction of movement in Ile-ife, Osun town, from 11:pm-5:00am.

According to reports, the effects of the criminal activities forces the local chief members and other local security officials kept vigil throughout the night on February 29th.

Also confirming the curfew, High Chief Abraham Adekola, the Lowa Adimun of Ile-ife, who is the third in line to Ooni, said the strong measure was put up on behalf of the monarch, to reduce the criminal activities in the town, since Saturday night, January 29th,This Day reports.
