Paul Pogba Faces Potential Four-Year Ban

With the investigation into his failed drug test now complete, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is facing a four-year ban from football.

Pogba initially posted a positive test following a Serie A game with Udinese back on August 20.

Elevated levels of testosterone were discovered in his system at that stage, while a B sample also came back positive in October.

The Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office has been looking into the case since then, with the said procedural process running its course. It is understood that a request has been made for Pogba to be hit with a four-year suspension.

Pogba was immediately banned from all football activity once the result of his initial test came back, preventing him from playing any further part in Juve’s 2023–24 campaign.

He has been working on a personal fitness programme, but it remains to be seen when he will be cleared to make a competitive return.
