“Please come back to class and earn your degree”- LASU tells Bella Shmurda

The singer stated that he had no regrets leaving school for music.

The Lagos State University LASU has urged Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda to come and complete his degree program at the institution.

On his 25th birthday, the fast-rising singer annouced through a tweet that he did not regret leaving school to chase his music dream.

On microblogging platform, Twitter, Bella wrote, “I now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). I for still Dey lasu Dey wine and dine with carryovers and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing.”

Reacting to his tweet, the institution, via her official Twitter account, congratulated him on his birthday but urged him to “come back to class and earn his degree”.

“Happy birthday@fineboybella,” LASU tweeted.

“Glad you have come this far pursuing your dream. Also glad @LASUOfficial played a part in your beautiful story because Univ. dont make people rich, only incubate them to find and achieve purpose.

“BTW, please come back to class and earn your degree.”

Bella Shmurda rose to fame when his debut single “Vision 2020” was released back in 2020. The song attracted interest from legendary rapper Olamide, who later featured on the remix of the song.

Since then, the talented singer has kept dropping hit jams like “Cashapp” which topped charts in 2021 and garnered about 550 million streams on streaming platforms.
