Pogba admits Manchester United is work “still” in progress.

The midfield maestro believe the team his making progress despite visible shambles.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba admits that the team is still a work in progress despite a stunning comeback win against Atalanta in the Champions League.

Pogba revealed this while speaking with MUTV as relived the comeback night at the Theatre of Dreams.

With two goals down at halftime, United were able to turn the match around in their favour as they won 3-2 on the night, receiving the pressure on manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

The fans booed the players off the pitch at half-time as they stormed down the tunnel, but United had other plans. They changed the narrative with goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo securing the turnaround.

Speaking after the win, Pogba said the comeback showed the team’s character and their capability.

“We showed big character, the character of this team, of this club,” he began.

“It was a very good result even if we didn’t start well but at the end, we got the result that we wanted and the energy, you could feel the belief and the positive energy just on the pitch.

“I can say it was a beautiful win, with the belief, we kept believing.”

Prior to match against Atalanta, United were defeated 4-2 by Leicester City, making it two losses from three Premier League matches.

It was even perceived that the next two games would decide Solskjaer’s fate as manager, with many ripping into his lack of tactics.

After the match against Leicester, Pogba admitted that something had to change positively, but he seems to have gotten some of that on Wednesday.

“On this game for sure the energy is more positive,” he said to MUTV concerning the Atalanta win.

“But then when you say change it doesn’t mean like you will change straight away. It’s a work (in progress).

“It’s all of us, it’s a trust with everyone. It’s a belief and you stick together, so all this is coming game by game but today for sure it’s a big reaction.

“It’s the way that we have to carry on until the end of the season.”

United will face Liverpool on Sunday as they hope to return back to winning ways in the Premier League.
