The 23-year old forward scored his 20th goal of the season against Granada in the 1st leg of the quarter final stages of the Europa League.

In the 31st minute of the encounter, Rashford made a perfect run into the box in between the Granada defense to meet up with a decisive pass over the top from Lindelof. The run was so quick that it managed to catch the Spanish television crew off guard.

Rashford took down the delicious pass with an exquisite touch before putting the ball into the bottom right corner of the net. That goal gave Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side a 31st minute lead at the Los Carmenes.

With that strike, Rashford has now scored 20 goals in all competions for United this season which saw him match a record set by Wayne Rooney over a decade ago. The England International has now scored 20 goals in consecutive seasons for the first time in his career – becoming the first to do so since Rooney did between 2008-2010.

What next?

United now have one leg in the semi-finals of the competition with a two goal advantage courtesy of a late Bruno Fernandes penalty. His penalty ensured that United have a two goal lead away from home before the 2nd leg encounter at Old Trafford.
