Sanwo-Olu invites DSS to join the police to investigate MohBad’s death

Sanwo-Olu has promised to bring anyone who played a role in MohBad’s death to justice.

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Security (DSS) to work with the police to investigate the mysterious death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad.

This was said in a statement released on Tuesday by the Governor to address the issue, which has become a hot topic on social media.

Sanwo-Olu said in the statement that his government has been “working behind the scenes with relevant authorities, and keenly following the ongoing investigations.”

Since MohBad’s death, Nigerians have made their opinions known about the matter as they call on the necessary authorities to unravel the cause of his death.

Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that the DSS had been invited to assist the Police with investigations, adding that anyone who played a role in the 27-year oldest death would face the law.

In order to boost the investigations, I have invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation and widen the dragnet with inter-agency collaboration and use of best in class technology to unearth the truth.

I have instructed that all those who may have played any role whatsoever in any event leading to the death of MohBad be made to face the law after a thorough investigation,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor also pleaded with those who may have vital information, which could assist the investigation, to share the authorities.

I have also appealed to the investigating team to guarantee the confidentiality and protection of all witnesses who may come forward with vital information or indicative evidence that may assist the process. The Police and the DSS have promised to brief the public on their efforts periodically,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu, therefore, called on all friends and fans of the deceased to stay calm and refrain from making prejudicial conclusions concerning the matter.

He, however, sent his condolences to the family, friends and fans of the deceased singer, saying he wished love and light.
