A clash is happening between the Super Eagles and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over match bonuses following their 2-0 win over Liberia last Friday.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored twice in the first half as Gernot Rohr’s began their World Cup qualifying series with a victory.
After the game, the NFF informed the players their bonuses will be paid in Naira, according to OwnGoalNigeria.
It is part of the federation’s policy for matches played on home soil.
The players, however, rejected the sum of N1million the NFF offered as match bonuses. According to them, they did not agree to the said amount.
This comes as the Eagles prepare for their qualifier away to Cape Verde.
