Tokyo Paralympics: Bose Omolayo wins Nigeria 2nd gold medal

Bose Omolayo has won Nigeria’s second gold medal in powerlifting at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Omotayo clinched the first position in the women’s 79kg category.

She also set a new world record after she lifted 141kg.

Omotayo finished ahead of Nataliia Oliinyk and Russia’s Vera Muratova, who won silver and bronze respectively.

Latifat Tijani won Nigeria’s first gold at the ongoing event in Tokyo.

This is just as Olaitan Ibrahim and Lucy Ejike each won bronze Saturday.

As of day seven, Nigeria occupies the 24th position on the medal log with two gold and two bronze.
