Chelsea are still keen on a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen but will only push ahead with a loan move, according to The Telegraph.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is holding out for possible suitors to pay Osimhen’s €130m (£110.8m) release clause.
However, both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are unwilling to go that high for the Super Eagles frontman.
Chelsea were close to signing Samu Omorodion after agreeing a €40m (£34.5m) deal with Atletico Madrid.
But the move has fallen through due to a disagreement over personal terms.
This has seen the Blues fall back on trying Osimhen, but only if Napoli are willing to agree to an initial loan deal.
However, that may cause a potential issue as Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has already hit back at suggestions that the striker could leave Napoli in a cut-price deal.
