The club confirmed the news via their official social media page.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr have confirmed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer after his exit from Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner became a free agent after his contract with Manchester United was terminated, following a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

However, his search for a new club has come to an end with the Saudi side announcing that they have completed his signing on their official twitter handle.

“History in the making,” the club wrote in a Tweet. “This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.

“Welcome Cristiano to your new home.”

The club’s chairman Musalli Al-Muammar added that the signing of Ronaldo would help move the league and Saudi sports forward.

“This deal is more than just writing a new historical chapter,” he wrote.

“This player is a higher example for all athletes and youth in the world, and with his presence in Al-Nassr, we will move forward to achieve more success for the club, Saudi sports, and future generations.”

Details of his contract are yet to be officially released but it is believed he could earn up to €200M per year.
