Asisat Oshoala gets nominated for the 2022 Women’s Ballon d’Or award (List)

Asisat Oshoala has been nominated for the 2022 Women’s Ballon d’Or Player of the Year award.

Her exploits with FC Barcelona femeni earned her a place on the 20-woman shortlist on Friday.

Last month, the footballer was crowned the 2022 CAF Women’s Player of the Year, making it the fifth time the 27-year-old was taking home the prize, surpassing her compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha.

However, for the Ballon d’Or prize, she will go up against formidable players like Sam Kerr, Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead and Alex Morgan.
