Baba Ijesha Releases New Video on IG

There has been Mixed reactions trailling a new video uploaded on the internet by Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

In the new video posted on his Instagram page, the Nollywood actor accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old foster child of Nollywood actress and Comedienne Princess showered praises on a veteran actress, Idowu Philips, known as Mama Rainbow.

Baba Ijesha lauded Mama Rainbow on her 80th birthday, noting that the actress has distinguished herself as a loving, kind, generous, and mother of all successful actors and actresses in the Nollywood industry.

Reacting to the video, many internet users criticized the actor for having the audacity to make a video amidst the allegations leveled against him. However, some commended him for having the courage to record such a video, adding that he has not been pronounced guilty of the charges.

You will recall that Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja had adjourned the child molestation case leveled against Baba Ijesha.

While delivering judgment, Justice Taiwo adjourned the case after the counsel for Adekola Adekanya, also known as Comedienne Princess, played primary evidence against the embattled Nollywood actor.

Princess told the court that she met the Nollywood actor during an event in 2008, noting that the two decided to collaborate on comedic sketches during the plenary. She claims he wooed her during their working relationship, but she declined his proposal.

Princess stated she became close to the actor, especially after her marriage ended in 2013. Princess claimed that she put money into Baba Ijesha’s schooling, adding that the actor later paid her a visit at her house.
