Ben Carson Tests Positive for the Coronavirus.

US Housing Secretary and beloved Neurosurgeon, Ben Carson, has tested positive for Covid-19, days after Trump’s Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows tested positive for the virus.

The news, announced on Monday, November 9^th, makes Carson the latest member of Trump’s administration to test positive for the virus. Recall that Donald Trump himself tested positive late October.

Carson, who is 69 years old, is currently the highest-ranking black official in Trump’s Cabinet. He has been reported to be in the White House last Tuesday for an election night event. Together with the Chief of Staff and other senior cabinet members, it was seen that the Covid-19 precautions—wearing of masks and social distancing—were so carelessly flaunted.

He, however, has stated that he “feels terrific” even after testing positive for the virus.
“I really came down with symptoms yesterday. Fever of 101. Chills. Muscle Cramps. Respiratory Issues and Fatigue,” he told a reporter for the Washington Post.

However, Carson’s Chief of Staff, Andrew Hughes, made it known that Carson is “resting at his house and is already beginning to feel better.” Everyone who has been in contact with Carson is in the process of being notified and “all precautions are being taken,” he wrote.

Carson himself was reported saying he contacted the virus “probably somewhere, out there in the Universe” but is not certain how. “I was on a bus tour last week. I was at the White House election night, so there are multiple possibilities,” he said.
