Breaking: FG declares nationwide holiday to celebrate democracy day.

The federal government of Nigeria has declared Monday, June 14th, 2021, as a public holiday to celebrate the country’s democracy day anniversary.

This announcement was made by the minister of interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, through a statement released via Facebook on Thursday, June 10th, 2021.

FG declares nationwide holiday to celebrate democracy day.

In the statement, the minister congratulated the people of the country on their democracy day anniversary, appealing to them to cooperate with the government in their efforts to sustain growth and development in the country.

Aregbesola further appealed to the citizens of the country to desist from all forms of agitations that threaten the peace and progress of Nigeria.

He Said;

“As we mark another Democracy Day in the history of our dear country, let us reflect on the efforts of our founding fathers and ensure that Nigeria remains one United and Indivisible entity. No development can take place in an acrimonious environment.”

The minister urged Nigerians to live in peace and prosperity.

According to him, despite the many challenges that Nigeria faces, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
