On Wednesday, June 8th, the vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osibanjo left the eagle square ground in Abuja, the venue of APC presidential primaries, after it became obvious that his chances of winning are very slim.

After several counts of votes was announced with a large number of them belonging to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, another aspirant in APC primaries, Osibanjo decided to take his leave after foreseeing that he will not emerge victorious in the primaries.

This comes after the vice president gave an excellent speech expressing his bitiom to run for president in 2023 at the convention on Tuesday, June 7th.

However, despite his excellent speech he failed to gain more votes than other contenders in the primary election, he eventually left the venue while ballot sorting was still ongoing.
