Burna Boy, the world-famous Nigerian singer, has been enlisted among the global artistes on the National Basketball Association (NBA) 2k24 soundtracks.

NBA 2K24 is a virtual game developed for basketball fans worldwide.

The game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.

In a recent Instagram post, the developers said 50 exclusive songs were uploaded at the game’s launch.

They also said the new songs will be updated on their Spotify playlist every Friday.

Burna Boy, the Afro-fusion artiste, was named alongside Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Ice Spice, Future, and The Alchemist.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, 2K earlier said the upcoming release “pays homage to the genre by featuring an extensive tracklist, composed of prominent producers, lyrical icons, and the next generation of artists”.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy rose to fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead track from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

In 2021, the singer set a record in Nigeria after his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall (2020)’ won the ‘Best World Music Album category at the Grammys.

He recently put out his seventh studio album ‘I Told Them’.

‘The album also secured the number one spot on the UK Official Albums Chart — shortly after its release.
