Charstity Belt: This device stops you from watching porn on your phone

A phone application, dubbed as the world’s first chastity belt for a phone, has emerged as a unique solution to curb porn addiction.

The phone chastity belt, as it is been called, is designed to protect users from temptation.

Developed by The Coach, a men’s health app focused on issues like porn addiction, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and low testosterone.

According to Lindsay Stevens, a spokesperson for The Coach, he explains, “You lock it over your phone and give the key to someone you trust. It’s a safeguard against temptation.”

In today’s world where access to the internet has become easy, access to pornography has skyrocketed, leading to a significant rise in porn addiction.

According to statistics, porn now dominates 10-15% of all internet searches across the world, with porn sites like PornHub and Xvideos having more visits than popular platforms like Netflix and Amazon.

Research has also shown that 57% of young adults (18-34) frequently view pornography.

This uncontrolled use has been linked to mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, social isolation, and relationship problems.

The chastity belt hopes to solve this problem by preventing the urge to view pornography.

It was inspired by traditional chastity belts used to protect women from unwanted advances in ancient times.

The use of chastity belts dates back to the Crusades, with evidence of their use in the Renaissance and 16th century. They were used primarily in the 19th century as anti-masturbation devices.

The chastity belt is designed to lock across the screen of the phone, with adjustable leather straps to fit properly. It is also effective in solving phone addiction problems in phone users.

Although the versions for laptops and desktops are still a work in progress, the phone models are available in portrait and landscape formats. They are expected to retail for around $100 (N159,000)
