The sensational chef expressed her excitement to have held such a record, even though it was for a short time.

Nigerian cooking sensation, Hilda Baci has congratulated Irish Chef Alan Fisher, who just broke her record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Earlier today, it was announced by Guinness world record on their official X page, that the Irish chef broke Baci’s record by cooking for an incredible 119hours and 57mins (24 hours more than Baci).

Baci quoted the tweet and congratulated Fisher, while expressing her profound gratitude for being a world record holder.

She said, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder! I’m so happy to have held a record so prestigious and profound I will forever be honored and grateful for all the love and support.”

Fisher didn’t just break Baci’s record, he attempted and broke two records.

He now holds the record for the longest baking marathon (individual) and longest cooking marathon. The longest baking record was previously set at 31 hours 17 minutes by Wendy Sandner, but now it stands at 47 hours and 21 minutes after being broken by Fisher.

The Irish chef took on both challenges at the same time, working in the kitchen for over 160 hours with a little over a day of rest.

Meanwhile, Fisher breaking Baci’s record in such a short time did not sit well with Nigerians and many took to the Guinness World’s Record X page to throw some questions.

The body then clarified that any record can be broken at any time, as there is no stipulated time frame.
