A final-year student from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) tragically lost his life days after attending the candlelight procession held in memory of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
The student, identified as Sanni Nassem Abiola, has left his loved ones in deep mourning following the incident.
Sanni Nassem Abiola, affectionately known as Nassem, was on the verge of completing his academic journey at LAUTECH, filled with dreams and aspirations for the future.
However, his promising life was cut short by a fire incident that occurred on a fateful Wednesday, casting a pall of grief over those who knew him.
The heart-wrenching news of Nassem’s passing came to light through a poignant video that swiftly went viral on social media.
The video depicted the late student holding a candle during the candlelight procession organized to honor the memory of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
“It saddens my heart to inform you all that we lost another brother, colleague, and friend Sanni Nassem Abiola (LAUTECH 500 level student) who was also a victim of the fire incident that happened on Wednesday. He was there at Mohbad’s candle night, and now he’s gone,” the viral video caption read.
