The musician’s death still lives fresh in the memories of many Nigerians.

Mrs Funmi Falana, who is counsel to MohBad’s family, on Friday expressed confidence that justice would be served concerning the death of MohBad.

Falana, who is the wife of popular activist, Femi Falana (SAN), gave this assurance at the Ikorodu Magistrates Court, which is the venue of a coroner’s inquest into the death of the musician.

MohBad, who died on September 12 was a talented singer/rapper who sadly past away at the age of 27.

His death has continued to generate controversies, which lead the Lagos State Government to direct a coroner’s inquest( a process to know the cause of someone’s death) into the death.

A preliminary meeting on the inquest took place at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Falana told journalists after the meeting, that the meeting was to discuss modalities for inquest, including witnesses to bring to court.

I am sure you all know that the essence of the coroner’s inquest is to inquire into the cause of the death.

By God’s grace, we want to assure the public that justice will definitely be served,” She said.

She added that witnesses would be testifying in court on October 13, while she urged members of the public to remain calm.

“We want to assure the public that justice will not be aborted.

“We are here to get to the root cause of the death of the young man, to serve as a deterrent,” she assured.
