Forbes has debunked all claims that Kanye West is the richest black man in America.
The popular business magazine described the news of the rapper’s net worth amassing over $6billion as “to good to be true”.
Recall that 2709updates reported on Thursday about the rapper’s top financial status. This was after Bloomberg reported that Ye’s fashion line brand, Yeezy reached a net worth of $4.7billion.
Speculation of Ye’s fashion line net worth with his other earnings was over $6.6billion. This huge amount made him the richest black man in the US.
However, this news is false, as the results of the rapper’s latest financial rankings indicates that his net worth is only near $1.8 billion.
Although the rapper made massive profits back in May 2020, his $1.8 billion net worth puts him far away from being the richest black man in America.
In other news, according to reports, unaudited balances sent to Bloomberg by Kanye’s representative shows a $1.7 billion worth of assets including his shares from investments in Kim Kardashian’s underwear brands, and his $122million in cash and stock.
Moreover, Kanye’s music catalogue is said to be valued at $110.5 million.
