Gunmen attack Taraba mosque, kill worshippers before abducting a businessman and his son

A mosque located at Jalo Junction in the Saminaka area of the Jalingo metropolis, Taraba State, was on Thursday, October 20, invaded by gunmen during Magrib prayers.

The gunmen, numbering about 10, killed a worshipper before abducting a businessman and his son, who is a secondary school student.

Daily Trust also reported that kidnappers have killed several persons, including a policeman and abducted more than 30 people in the area in the last few months.

The kidnappers, who are reportedly operating from mountains across the river Lamurde in Ardo-Kola local government area, have forced many residents to relocate from the area.
