Ikoyi Building Collapse: Gov. Sanwo-Olu declares a 3-day mourning, cancels all other official engagements.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared a 3-day mourning in Lagos State for the victims of the 21-storey building which collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

This was announced in a statement released by Lagos state commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso on November 4th, 2021.

Sanwo-olu revealed that a number of 32 persons have been found dead as a result of the tragic incident.

The governor said that all flags will be flown at half-mast in public, and also private buildings and official engagements will be cancelled from November 4th to November 7.

He said;

“The Lagos State government, once commiserates with all those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident.”
