Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, has explained that he will only take a decision on his future if the Etihad side is punished for breaching financial rules.

Guardiola stated this while answering questions from the media on Friday.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss was asked if he would quit the Premier League champions if they are docked points or relegated.

Guardiola replied: “It’s a good question. I will answer when I have the sentence.

“You’re questioning me like we have been punished. At the moment we are innocent.

“But wait and see, when the sentence is done and after I will sit and explain.

“There is more chance I will stay if we are in the League.”
