The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, faces severe criticism following his appearance at the 15th Headies Awards in Atlanta, United States.
The Headies event which celebrated music acts across Africa, witnessed the attendance of the Lagos state governor.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented Wizkid‘s award to his manager, Sunday Are, while emphasizing the impacts of youth in the entertainment industry.
The governor’s attendance, however, was condemned by netizens who reflected on the 2020 massacre in Lagos during the EndSARs protest.
Others questioned the correlation of his job as a governor of a state to the award event that involved music acts.
