Lekki Toll-Gate Shootings: Mothers insists their children died

The Lekki Toll-Gate massacre still seems to have never existed to the government.

Mothers who claim to have lost their children at the Lekki Toll-Gate have held a protest at Lagos State today, December 2, 2021.

The angry mothers held the protest in front of the office of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

Recently, the Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the State Government to investigate the Lekki shootings released a 41-paged document, which disclosed that nine persons were killed at the shootings with many sustaining injuries.

However, the Lagos State Government have rejected the report as they continued to maintain their stand that no one was shot or killed at the shootings.

According to them, the panel’s report is baffling because they offered no explanation regarding the circumstances of their death.

This led to the angry reactions from the mothers of deceased as they claim their children were killed at the massacre.

Many Nigerians have also lashed at the government and accused them of covering up what actually happened at the event.
