Messi Bids Farewell to Vidal as Midfielder is Set to Leave Barcelona.

The Barcelona captain couldn’t help but bid his good friend farewell as he(Vidal) prepares for a new adventure in the serie A.

It’s no news that Messi and Arturo Vidal were close friends both on and off the field, although, they were rivals on the international level.

The Chilean is set to complete a move to Italian side Inter Milan for a fee of £1million after two years at Barcelona. Head coach Ronald Koeman has made it pretty clear that he and Luis Suarez could leave the club.

However, Vidal leaves with a heartfelt message from his close friend and team-mate Lionel Messi. 

Messi wrote via Instagram: “I only knew you from facing each other and you always seemed like a phenomenon to me, but later I was lucky to meet you personally and you surprised me even more.

” They were two years sharing many things and you made yourself noticed. The dressing room is going to miss you.

“I wish you all the best in this new stage at your new club. We will cross paths again for sure”.

Vidal commented on the post saying: ” Thanks alien! I am proud to have played with the greatest in history and thank you very much for your friendship. I miss you. See you soon”.

Vidal was part of the Barcelona team that won the La Liga title in the 2018-19 season. He scored a total of 11 goals in 66 league games in total.
