Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has told his national teammates that he is leaving the French Ligue1 champions.
Messi told his Argentina teammates that he has turned down a new contract offer at Parc des Princes this summer.
The 35-year-old’s deal at the club will expire in three months.
The Daily Mail reports that Messi and PSG have held initial discussions over a new deal, and the club has put an offer on the table.
He has been linked with a return to Barcelona by multiple reports.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is, however, said to be considering a move to Major League Soccer.
Inter Miami are said to be interested in investing in him and bringing him to the United States when the chance arises.
