Renowned Pastor from Akwa Ibom Passes Away Few Days after Conducting Funeral Ceremony

Runcie Mike, a well-known pastor in Akwa Ibom, has passed away.

The pastor died two days after officiating at the funeral of one of his congregation members.

Mike, the Lead Pastor of The Evening Church in Uyo, presided over Miss Joy Ekpenyong’s funeral service, the 36-year-old daughter of a famous broadcaster.

The Pastor, whose church is located at the Tropicana Centre Shopping Mall in Uyo, was claimed to have died on Saturday in Uyo.

He was survived by a wife and two children and was claimed to have died following a brief illness.

When the news spread, many churchgoers assumed it was a hoax.

However, the church’s leadership later verified the tragic event.

“In this time of grief, we ask the body of Christ to lift us up in prayer, especially His immediate family,” the church’s leadership said.
