The Portuguese attacker has added yet another feather to his cap as records continue to tumble for him.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now equalled Ali Daei’s record of 109 International goals after scoring two goals against France on Wednesday.
At 36 years old, Ronaldo is also the EURO all-time top scorer with 13 goals and he doesn’t feel like he his stopping anytime soon.
This man’s contribution is so great that his two goals ensured that Portugal clinched the third spot in the “group of death”. In addition, he’s had a hand in a total of six goals for Portugal, scoring five himself.
Ronaldo now needs just a goal to go top of the list of all-time international goal scorer. He his also the first Portuguese player in history to score in all group games at the EURO.
His brace against France helped Portugal secure a place in the last 16 as third-place finishers, with the former finishing top and Germany finishing as runner-up. Eventual losers of the group Hungary, however didn’t go without a fight. They gave Germany a run for their money as they pushed for a place in the last 16.
Portugal will now face Belgium, another strong contender, in the last 16 on Sunday.
