About six traders were arraigned before Lagos Island Local Government’s Chief Magistrate Court for assaulting Lizzy Anjorin.

Recall that blogger Gistlover claims that Lizzy Anjorin was apprehended at the market after purportedly attempting to purchase the gold with a fictitious bank transfer.

The police said on Thursday that the alleged offences were perpetrated by the six defendants and the two other people still at large on Monday at 1:30 p.m. inside Oba Akintoye Market on Lagos Island.

The prosecution’s Sola Samuel told the court that Lizzy Anjorin suffered severe physical harm as a result of the six traders—as well as two more who were allegedly at large colluding to shove and drag her.
