Sweden declares sex as sport; 4 things to know about the competition.

On the 4th of June, 2023, Sweden annouced sex as a legal sport in the country, making the country the first ever country to do so.

As a result, the first ever sex championship will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 8th, 2023. Below are some things you need to know about the competition…perhaps you may be considering to attend (lol).

How long will the competition last?

The competition is set to hold for a period of six weeks and will be overseen by the Swedish Sex Federation. According to reports, the championship will see participants partake in a daily six-hour sex sessions, with individual contests spanning from 45 to 60 minutes.

Who can join?

There will be 20 competitors from different countries. Reports also say that the competition support sexual diversity and orientation, which means lesbians, gays, trans and other sexual orientations can participate in the competition.

What will participants do?

Participants will engage in 16 different types of sexual activity such as oral sex, foreplay, penetration, body massage, endurance, seduction and others.

How will they be judged?

The championship winner will be determined by a panel of three judges. Viewers watching live can also have a say in the sex competition results.

Participants will be evaluated on a number of sex-related factors like how good the couples look together, their level of endurance and their knowledge of sex. A pair will earn extra points if they are familiar with the “Kamasutra” – an ancient Indian text on sex and sexuality.
