Nigerian celebrity actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, has sent a fiery response to singer Naira Marley following his recent defamation claims against her mother.
Ojo clearly had a lot to say as she made her feelings concerning the claims clear via her Instagram story. The young Ojo urged Naira Marley to focus on his ongoing lawsuits already in court and she also highlighted Marley’s bullying of the late singer MohBad.
She wrote, “The audacity!! You want to sue? Sue who. Lmaooooo..clowns. The cases you have in court for the boys’ catalogue and unpaid royalties, have you finished that one? You want to sue who? When there are legit videos and evidence of your gang steadily bullying that young man before he died. Dey play!”
Ojo went on to criticize Nigerians for dragging her mother on social media for being vocal about the young singer’s death. According to her, her mother played an active role in fighting for justice for the late MohBad.
She said, “Nigerians, y’all amaze me, sha, but I’ll say no celebrity should have their safety, career, kids in the line to fight for justice. That woman y’all are dragging now didn’t only come online to fight; she was legit at the police station back to back. Now she was fighting for the young man that was vividly bullied with evidence from his record label before he died,”
This comes following a letter Naira Marley’s lawyers sent to her mother, accusing her of libel and demanding N500 million for damages.
In the letter, Naira Marley highlighted a statement made by Iyabo Ojo following MohBad’s demise in September. This statement was deemed harmful to Marley’s career.
The letter also says the singer demands a public apology and a retraction of the statements within seven days of receiving the document, else legal actions would be taken against her.
Meanwhile, Iyabo Ojo is yet to make a public comment or address the letter directly yet.
