The chairman of Peter Obi’s Labour Party group comments about the emergence of a presidential candidate from a faction led by one Callistus Okafor (Video)

Julius Abure, chairman of Peter Obi’s Labour Party group, has reacted to the emergence of a presidential candidate from a branch of the party led by one Callistus Okafor.

Julius Abure confirmed the existence of a lawsuit in an interview with Arise TV. He argued that there was nothing significant because the party’s attorneys were managing the situation.

Abure also pointed out that Okafor was Deputy Chairman of the party in 2014 and that tenure has since expired. He further stated that the factional chairman only tried gaining public attention with the emergence of Peter Obi as his faction’s presidential candidate.

Abure also said Okafor was expelled from the party in 2017 and they’ve moved past him.
