The trailer for The Fall Guy offers a closer look at the new action-thriller. The movie, which is based on the Lee Majors show of the same name which ran from 1981 through 1986, follows an aging stuntman who becomes embroiled in a mystery when the star he’s doubling mysteriously disappears. Helmed by Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train director David Leitch, The Fall Guy boasts a cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Teresa Palmer.
The trailer has been unveiled by Universal nearly four full months before the The Fall Guy release date in 2024. See it below:
It opens on a dangerous car stunt that Gosling’s stuntman character Colt performs. Jody (Emily Blunt), his ex and the movie’s director, is initially impressed before realizing who the stunt performer is. This kicks off a possible enemies-to-lovers storyline before the action plot kicks in and Colt is drawn into an undercover mission to rescue the missing star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
