The Royal Family Shares a New Portrait of Prince George

The British Royal Family has a tradition of releasing a portrait of a family member on their birthday. This tradition was maintained as a portrait of Prince George was released in celebration of his eighth birthday.

Prince George of Cambridge turned 8 on the 22nd of July. His parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared an adorable portrait of the young prince on their Instagram page.

He is third in line for the throne in the British Monarchy. He is the first child of Prince Williams, and his wife Catherine Middleton.

Prince George won the hearts of many people across the globe as he made appearances to watch England play football during the European Cup Tournament.

His natural reaction to happy moments and glaring sadness when England lost to Italy during the finals was applauded by many.

A happy eighth birthday to a prince who might one day rule as the king of England.
