Ac Milan have confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for coronavirus.

Ibrahimovic will self-isolate in his home and will play no part in the club’s upcoming fixtures.

After testing positive to the virus, the 38-year-old responded to the news in typical fashion via his twitter account.

He wrote via his twitter account: ” I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms whatsoever. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea.”

A statement from the club’s official website read: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive to Covid-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight’s UEFA Europa league qualifying game against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.

” The club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. All other team members and staff have tested negative”.

This comes as a bad news to Ibrahimovic as he has enjoyed a productive start to the campaign, scoring three goals in two appearances for the club.
