The 19-year-old says his survival from the incident is a privilege from God.
William Nwachukwu, a survival from the collapsed storey building in Ikoyi has described how he survived the shocking incident.
The Imo state indigene also stated that it was only God that made him survive the incident without loosing his dear life.
According to him, he explained was sleeping in the 4th floor of the building when he noticed the foundation of the building rubble.
Acting on instinct, the 19-year-old jumped out of the building into another building nearby.
“I was lying on the fourth floor when the incident happened and the vibration woke me up. I don’t know how I was able to jump out of the building,” he narrated to the Guardian.
William was a casual worker in the building, where his pay was just N3,500. He stated that he usually slept and bath in the building and he had only been working in the building for two weeks.
Shortly after the incident, William was seen walking on the street with a body full of dust.
The collapsed building has so far claimed 38 lives including the owner of the building Mr. Femi Osibona whose body was recovered from the building.
