Armed men have kidnapped dozens of students from a Government science secondary school in Kankara local government of Katsina state on December 11th, 2020.
This attack is happening barely 24 hours after President Buhari arrived in Katsina state.
An online medium, HumAngle, reports that gunmen invaded the school at about 11pm and carried out an attack on the area that lasted for about 2 hours. Reports also say that after the attack an unconfirmed number of people including students and residents were missing.

Eye witnesses revealed that at about 100 armed men stormed the school at about 10:00pm-11:00pm and started shooting sporadically into the hostels which forced many students to run out of school for help.
However the Kankara Police command is yet to comment on the issue, an anonymous police officer confirmed that an unspecified number of students were kidnapped by bandits who came on foot.
The anonymous police officer also said that the school’s gatemen and one officer were shot by the bandits. He confirmed that they were not dead but receiving treatment in the hospital.
