The husband to late information minister and ex-DG of NAFDAC, Prof.Dora Akunliyi, Dr Chike Akunyili has been shot to death by gunmen in Anambra state.
According to The Nation, Dr Chike was murdered at Umuoji Idemili, North LGA of Anambra State on Tuesday, September 28th.
Reports say that Dr Chike had gone to Anambra from Enugu to recieve a post-humous award for his late-wofe, Prof. Dora Akunyili.
Dr Chike was shot at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA). The news of this incident has been spread across the whole nation.
Meanwhile, the police force in Anambra State are yet to release a statement concerning Dr Chike Akunyili’s murder.
