For the first time, Britney Spears expressed her grievances towards her conservatorship in open court. She described her conservatorship as “abusive and humiliating.” Read all about it here.
After articulating all she has been going through under her conservatorship, which includes being forced to stay under birth control, and deprived of the right to marry, people all over the world including celebrities have shown support towards Britney Spears.
The #FreeBritney campaign is at its strongest point. Hopefully, this time around, the wish of that campaign may become a reality.

After her court hearing, the pop star rendered a heart touching apology to her fans through her Instagram page. She apologised for lying all these years that she was happy when she was not happy and had been unable to sleep.

“I apologize for pretending like I’ve been ok for the past two years. I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me.”

In a world where more than ever there is a drastic trend towards giving people the freedom to live as they pleased, it is disheartening that Britney has to fight for the right to make her own choices and control the wealth she worked for.
Hopefully, the court will make a ruling that will be in the best interest of the star.
