Burna Boy makes history with fifth Billboard Hot 100 entry

The African giant extends his Billboard Hot 100 run.

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy achieves another international feat as he logged his fifth entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

His collaboration ‘Just Like Me’ with American rapper, 21 Savage and music producer Metro Booming debuted on the chart at Number 67 on January 23, 2024.

The song becomes Burna Boy’s fifth entry on the Billboard Hot 100 after his hit singles ‘Last Last’ (2022), ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ (2023) featuring 21 Savage, ‘Talibans II’ with Byron Messia (2023), and his appearance on Justin Bieber’s ‘Love By You’ (2021) made the list.

With this entry, Burna Boy becomes the Nigerian artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries. He shares this record with Nigerian music sensation Tems.

Burna Boy also becomes the first Africa artist to debut at least one song on the Billboard Hot 100 in four consecutive years.

The ‘African Giant’ is also set to become the first African to perform at Grammys live ceremony, as he was recently announced as one of the performers at the 2024 Grammys.

He was also nominated in four categories at the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards, set to be held of February 4, 2024.
