Let’s take a look at the top scorers in the competition so far after the 1st leg of the quarter final stages were concluded on Wednesday.
Phenomenal Erling Haaland leads the way with 10 goals to his name. The Norwegian wonderkid continues to impress despite not scoring against Manchester City in the 1st-leg. However, that doesn’t keep him out of contention for the League’s top scorer despite the 2-1 loss to City on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe continues his fine form in front of goal in the competition with a double against current holders Bayern Munich. His two goals were significant as Paris Saint Germain defeated Bayern 3-2. The French forward now has 8 goals in the competition – just two goals behind Haaland in the race for top scorers.
Alvaro Morata, Marcus Rashford, Neymar, Olivier Giroud, Youssef En-Nesyri and Mohammed Salah followed en suite with 6 goals each. Last season’s top scorer, Robert Lewandowski has 5 goals to his name in the competition.
