Davido receives remarkable ovation from members of Georgia General Assembly, receives certification as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’

Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is breaking borders as he is officially recognised as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’.

He was conferred this honour at the U.S. state of Georgia general assembly meeting, where members of the Georgia Senate and Georgia House of Representatives were present.

In the meeting, the speaker had introduced him as a US-born citizen and conferred upon him the special title for his addition to the state.

The speaker said;

“We have a special guest today, I’d like to introduce David Adedeji Adeleke also known as Davido, a Nigerian American Afrobeats artist who was born in Atlanta a Georgia native, he’s up in the gallery.

He is a three time nominee of the Grammy award, the BET recipient of the Best International Act, recently performed at our State Farm arena and sold it out, boosting our economy right.

He is a global artist who is promoting fine arts and entertainment which is growing our economy”

Davido showed off his certificate as an ‘Outstanding Georgia citizen’, which affords him the courtesy to be treated as an ambassador for the state across other regions and nations.
