Ex-President, Olusegun Obansanjo reveals what made him abandon Islamic school.

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obansanjo has disclosed that the fear getting flogged with koboko made him abandon his pursuit of Arabic knowledge.

Obasanjo made this disclosure during the inauguration and turbanning of Sheikh Salis Alao Adenekan as the grand Caliphof the Tijaniyyah of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states.

In a brief remark the former president spoke about his abandoned pursuit of Arabic knowledge, however he noted that although the fear of Koboko made him run away from Arabic knowledged, he still remembers many songs he was taught.
